Well I put in for Sage Grouse here in Nor Cal. The DFG is meeting on August 9th to decide whether they are going to have a season, although they stated that they think hunting has almost no impact on the sage grouse population. It will be like winning a double lottery. First, we wait and see if we get a season, then if we do, we check back on Aug 20th to see if we got drawn or not. Keeping my fingers crossed. Still want to get a nice sentry and have it mounted.

Where do you hunt or where do you plan on hunting ?? I have hunted Pete's Vally a couple of times, great place to hunt, also the area along 395 just north of Termo. Quite a few antelope in that area also.

I hunt the East Lassen Zone, near Shinn Moutain. Its a 2 bird zone, and xhukars are nearby. Lots of antelope and wild horses there too.
